Today the  Sunday School children will be collecting the brown grocery bags  they left with our neighbors last week in the hope they filled them with non-perishable foods so the food may be donated to the Star of the Sea whose mission is to care and feed those less fortunate.  Please plan to contribute too as you begin your Thanksgiving food shopping.  Suggested foods : canned meat, fish( tuna) , fruits, vegetables, dried beans, rice, pasta, baby foods and formula, dried milk, child friendly foods cereals, pudding, applesauce, snacks, etc.  Please bring your donations to the church today. The food will be delivered after worship on to the Star of the Sea in South Jamaica.   Thank you for helping to make Thanksgiving special to those less fortunate.

Come and Worship

  • Sunday, November 11, 2018:  "Once and For All," Rev. Sally Ann Castle  preaching

Pentecost

Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. -- Acts 2:2-3

The Anchor

Hebrews 9:25-26

[Christ did not] offer himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Holy Place year after year with blood that is not his own; for then he would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the age to remove sin by the sacrifice of himself.
